Fish market

An open table at the waterfront; fisherman prepare their catch here, surrounded by hungry pelicans, sea gulls and a sea lion.
The fish is prepared on a bare concrete bench, cleaned only by water that is brought here in blue canisters. The birds jump on the preparation table in hope for some small left-over; and if the fishermen don’t look try to steal a piece of the already prepared tuna filets.
Like a toddler with the tip of its nose looking over the table the sea lion tries to get its share. Every piece the fishermen cut off is heavily contested, and the ones who dare to get the closest will be the most successful. I think I’ll have chicken tonight…
