Sea Turtles

A snorkelling tour in the lagoon. All sorts of fish, marine iguanas, a sea lion. And suddenly I see them, resting on the ground.
In the bluish green water you may take them for a large, moss-overgrown rock. Then you see the head and flippers – sea turtles resting on the sandy bottom.
After some time they need to come to the surface for breath. Slowly they fly in the water, their flippers moving like birds wings. Seeing the gentle giants is a touching and moving experience.
